Is there an MLS in the Dominican Republic?
Not in the way buyers from the United States expect. As far as we could find (16 October 2026), there is no public, industry-wide multiple listing service in the Dominican Republic that collects every agent’s listings and recorded sale prices. Market analysts note the absence of a public MLS-style sales database for Punta Cana (The Latin Investor).
How listings are shared instead
- Private networks and platforms, where agents and agencies choose which listings to share with each other, such as the network inside the AlterEstate CRM.
- Developers’ own price lists, sent to agents as PDFs or spreadsheets on WhatsApp, or kept in shared folders.
- Associations: the Asociación de Agentes y Empresas Inmobiliarias (AEI) is described by Dominican real estate press as the oldest association in the sector, with offices in Santo Domingo, Santiago and the East (El Inmobiliario).
There is also no public, mandatory register of real estate agents yet; Dominican press reports a bill in the Senate to create one (El Inmobiliario). Check who you work with.
Where PuntaDB fits
PuntaDB is not an MLS: it covers new developments only, and it does not collect resale listings or sale prices. What it does is read every developer’s current price list in Punta Cana into one inventory, 62 projects and 1,703 units available on 19 October 2026, with the public summaries on the project pages.
